On The First Day Of Christmas I Saw A Real Life Santa
I woke up on the 25th of December to find a big present from my parents. I tore it open excitedly and found some clothes inside. That was when my mom came in and told me to get dressed quickly because we were going to the mall! At first, I didn't want to go but eventually we went and had a great time. We were just walking around when suddenly this man appeared in front of us wearing a red suit with white fur trimming around the edges. He had a long beard that was pure white too. He looked so amazing that it took me a while before I realized he was even saying anything because he seemed like something out of one of my stories.
What I Got For Christmas
I got a new pair of shoes and some socks. I also got a new pillow because my old one ripped in half. My sister also got me some shirts and leggings. She's the best! Oh, my parents also gave me $100 to do whatever I want with it.
I was so excited when it was time to open presents at my grandparents house on Christmas morning this year because they always have everything laid out under the tree before we wake up which is really cool because you don't have to search for anything icky or hard to find like toys from last year that we never played with.
My Favorite Part of Christmas
This year was my first time seeing a real-life Santa and it was an amazing experience. My grandma told me that he would be coming to our house for the whole family, but she didn't tell me what time. When we got home from school on December 4th my mom said he had been there for about half an hour and that I should go say hi before he left. I ran up to him and said Santa? And his reply was I'm not Santa so then my cousin started laughing and said He's just kidding with you. So of course my heart dropped because now when am I going to meet the real one? He told me he had a present for me too but that it wasn't a toy.
What I Didn't Like About Christmas
Christmas is a very special time of year. It's the time where we are reminded of how much our loved ones mean to us and we get to celebrate with family and friends. But it's also the one time of year where some people can be left feeling lonely and forgotten. We all know there's a difference between being alone on any other day in the year and being alone on Christmas day.
The holidays can be particularly difficult for those who are struggling with loneliness or depression. And when you're lonely or feeling down, sometimes it's hard to do anything at all because everything just seems pointless. It may seem like there are no people around who care about you--but that couldn't be further from the truth.
How I Would Do Things Differently Next Year
1) We should have had a table to put all the kids' presents on.
2) We should have had a website for people to see where we live in case they can't find us.
3) We need more volunteers to help out next year because this is a lot of work for two people.
4) Santa needs to be able to see the kids who are at the top of the tree so that he can give them presents.
5) It would be really helpful if we had some type of system for when families are coming up and want pictures with Santa because it's hard to keep track of who's gone through and who hasn't.
6) We need more snacks because all these kids take up our time and energy, but they don't eat anything.
